Overview

The virtual PPE and Infection Prevention Control course will ensure learners are fully knowledgeable with all aspects of good practice including handwashing, use of PPE. This will include the correct techniques of application of PPE during the Covid- 19 outbreak.

There will an opportunity to answer questions. A competency assessment can be given to employers for them to assess the practical competency within the workplace.

Course Contents

• Understand and describe a range of factors that can increase the risk of infection
• Recognize and describe the signs of infection
• Appreciate the differences between cleaning, disinfection and sterilization
• Understand the importance of basic precautions including hand washing and cleaning
• Describe the measures necessary to manage people with MRSA and other infections
