The virtual Diabetes Awareness training has been designed to provide the knowledge and confidence needed when working with people with diabetes and create a positive impact in their lives. There will be an opportunity to answer questions.

• What is Diabetes and the various types of diabetes
• The affects Diabetes has on the body
• Recognise the signs and symptoms of poorly controlled diabetes
• How to recognise a diabetic emergency and discuss dealing with this appropriately
