Overview

The Basic Life Support course covers the main points relating to the management of BLS in adults, in accordance with the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines (2015 ).

We have additional online learning resources that provide more details for learners to refer to during the course and in practice.

Practical Competency can be delivered at a later date either at the training centre or within the workplace following Government advice on Social Distancing.

• Understand the principles of first aid
• Appreciate the duties of a nominated person
• Be able to assess casualties
• Offer emergency aid (CPR, Bleeding, Burns and Choking)
