Overview

This is an interactive course and is aimed at people in all occupations from receptionists, hotel staff, health care workers and many others who may come into contact with people with disabilities both mental and physical. 

The aim is to create an awareness and insight into the difficulties people have to endure in their day to day living and to equip learners with the knowledge to understand and assist.

Due to this certification being part of the Awarding Body, TQUK, certificates are unable to be downloaded from our website. Please get in touch if you have not received your certificate 4 weeks since your final assessment has been completed.

Course Contents

• Have an increased understanding of disability
• Know that there are different impairment groups
• Identify barriers which can pose problems for disabled people
• Identify the barriers that exist in their setting
• Understand the impact of disability on using their taxi/ vehicle
• Gain knowledge of things that they can do to make their vehicle's more accessible to disabled visitors
• Gain more confidence in their communication with disabled people
