Overview

This 3 hour training event is aimed at candidates who have been nominated to undertake the role of fire warden. The training will equip candidates to assist in compliance emergency evacuation procedures, the effective use of fire-fighting equipment and advising staff upon measures to prevent fires from starting.

Course Contents

• Understand the principles of fire and fire triangle
• State the principle means of fire spread and give examples within their workplaces
• Explain the main fire prevention strategies
• State the basic means of fire detection and protection
• State the main principles of fire fighting and explain fire-fighting equipment
• Explain the practical measures to ensure evacuation without undue risk
